TENDER DOCUMENTATION
        To obtain accurate prices from
contractors the correct tender documentation should be issued. Turner
Surveyors can put together the entire tender package for a client,
manage the tender, and provide tender analysis and recommendations. We
can work either from documentation we have produced or with documents
        provided from elsewhere.
        Tender documentation should include the
        following information:

          - Letter containing appropriate
            instructions for undertaking the tender.

          - Details and any specific clauses of
            the contract to be used.

          - Form of tender.

          - As detailed as possible information
about the works, taking the form of drawings, specifications, room
            data sheets, all as appropriate.

          - Pre-tender health and safety plan
(should this requirement of the Construction (Design and Management)
            Regulations 1994 apply).

No person or company should ever enter
into building works without an appropriate contract in place. The
selection of the contract depends on the nature of the works to be
undertaken, and the level of protection to be offered by that
        contract.
Turner Surveyors are experienced in the
writing and contract administration of the following contracts:

          - JCT Building Contract for the Home
            Owner/Occupier

          - JCT Minor Works Form of Contract

          - JCT Intermediate Form of Contract

We can develop all the relevant design
information for inclusion with the tender.
Following the return and opening of the
tender, a tender analysis can be carried out and recommendations made.
From here, the client will be fully informed in order to appoint the
        appropriate contractor.
